2023 tax bills will be mailed on Friday, January 13, 2023 and payments can be mailed to:

Penalty-free period ends February 28, 2023 and must have the USPS stamp on the envelope.

Town/County/Fire/Special District Taxes (better known as the Property Taxes) are due on or before February 28th in full payment.  This tax covers a calendar year from January 1st through December 31st.  Penalties incur as follows:


March 1st                       2%

April 1st                       additional 1%

May 1st                 additional 1%


Payments must be received by the Tax Collector on or before May 31st of each year.  After May 31st, payments must be made directly to the county.  Checks should be made payable to:    Dutchess County Commission of Finance (DCCOF)

School Taxes - Any questions pertaining to School Taxes should be directed to the Pawling Central School District at (845) 855-4603 or (845) 855-4661.


New York State Law states whether you receive a bill or not, you are ultimately responsible for payment including penalties.  Once a bill is in the penalty stage, payment cannot be accepted without the penalty.
