Membership to Pawling Recreation is a year-round membership
Membership is required in order to use Lakeside Park
Edward R. Murrow Park and Lakeside Park provide a 356 acre park with two lakes, miles of hiking trails, 12 tennis courts, two baseball fields, two softball fields, a soccer field, and numerous buildings for town activities.
The same rules apply to Lakeside Park and Murrow Park. Pawling residents are welcome in the parks from dawn to dusk and can walk the trails, bicycle on the roadways or picnic on the lawns. Of course, swimming is only allowed when lifeguards are on duty. This year, there will be NO swimming at Murrow Park. More detailed information is posted in the parks or from the Recreation Office at 855-1131.
Membership cards will be checked at the gate at Lakeside Park. Anyone entering the park MUST first check in at the gate house. Members will show their cards and receive a colored wristband each day. Visitors MUST stop at the gate and pay the daily fee. (Residents = $5 individual, $10 family Non-Residents = $10 individual, $15 family). Visitors will also be given a colored wrist band for the day. Anyone using the waterfront will have a colored wristband. Without one, you will not be permitted to use the lake.
Children under 14 years of age MUST be accompanied by a 16 year old or older.
A recreation membership also entitles members to discounts on various recreation programs.
